About our wax

At Homeship Supply Company, our candles are made with 100% soy wax.

Why soy wax?

Soy candles have been shown to burn cleaner (specifically, soy candles release less soot) than candles made from other waxes. Soy candles typically last longer than candles made from other materials, due to their slower burning time and cooler burning temperature. So, while a soy candle may be more expensive, the longer-lasting burn means you won’t need to purchase new candles as often. Additionally, the slow burn of soy candles means scent is released more gradually, as opposed to an immediate wave of strong scent, which creates a more pleasant atmosphere.

Never leave a candle unattended and keep out of reach of children and pets.

Extinguish a candle if it repeatedly smokes, flickers, or the flame is too high.
Keep the wax pool free of wick trimmings, matches, and debris at all times.
Burn your candle between one and four hours at a time for best results.
Before you light your candle each time, your wick should be trimmed to 1/4" and re-positioned to the center.
A draft is a candle's worst enemy. Keep your candle away from ceiling fans, high traffic areas, and vents.
