Meet the Founders

Welcome!

We’re Shaun and Cassidy, the founders of Homeship Supply Company.

Well, I suppose an introductory post should be just that. I’ll keep it short and sweet, as good introductions should be.

Homeship Supply Company is a candle company based in Columbus, Ohio. It’s owned and operated by myself (Cassidy) and my partner (Shaun). We met working at a local restaurant after I moved to Ohio from California and have been happily together since 2018.

Meet Shaun

Shaun is originally from a small town outside of Pittsburgh, PA, but moved to Columbus quite a while ago. He’s helped open bars and restaurants all over the city, working as a server, bartender, manager, chef, you name it. He also worked as a wedding photographer and helped open a CrossFit gym. A jack of all trades, Shaun has recently explored his passion for making and crafting. Whether he’s in the workshop making furniture, in the garden growing exotic peppers or in the office coming up with his next venture, Shaun’s excitement is contagious in each task we tackle.

Meet Cassidy

A California native, I’m from a city about halfway between Los Angeles and San Diego. I moved to Ohio in late 2017 and transferred to The Ohio State University, where I study Environment, Economics, Development and Sustainability (EEDS, for short). As an eternally stressed college student, I’m always sure to keep a stockpile of candles on hand. And by stockpile, I mean a closet full of candles. Eventually, the idea of self-supplying my stress relief came to us (maybe it was after a particularly damaging trip to Bath & Body Works).

After a bit of research and hours of YouTube tutorials, we somehow felt ready to embark on the wild adventure of candle making. It’s been full of ups and downs, but Homeship Supply Co. has turned into something we never would have expected it to. It’s something we truly love doing and hope we can do for many years to come.
